It's so nice to have such a variety of summer produce. I've frozen some and eaten much and shared with family. I love big juicy fresh from the field tomatoes. I'm so glad we have this market available.

My father helps run that market. He has also grown his own vegetables and fruits for years in which he takes to the market twice a week from May until October. It is great for the city of Mt. Vernon.

I shop the farmers market in Mt.Vernon. I love it. The fresh produce is great. I'm really glad Mt.Vernon has the farmers market. Also I'm glad it is local so I know it's fresh.

Great selection of veggies, flowers and the baked goods are out of this world!!!!

It is important to support our local farmers and to eat fresh produce that has not traveled a 1,000 miles to our area.

Love to go there and visit with vendors as often as I can, plus it's nice to help out local farmers and the community.

Locally grown, organic produce benefits both the consumer as well as the farmer: The consumer gains health benefits through the higher concentration of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients present in the local offerings and the farmer gets a little economic stimulus for his efforts.
