In 2009 I was diagnosed with end-stage cancer. While I do not believe diet alone saved my life, I believe it was a critical component in saving my life. During 2 years of intense cancer treatment, I only needed one shot to raise my white blood cell level high enough to get the next treatment. Patients typically get the shot for EACH treatment. My second oncologist told me he wished all his cancer patients had blood panels like mine. Had I not maintained a high nutritional status through Earth-Shares CSA, I am sure I would have perished years ago. I have been in radical remission, free of evidence of disease and free of any cancer treatment, for more than 5 years. Earth-Shares CSA is part of this miracle. With Earth-Shares CSA I know what I am getting. I know who did the hard work of caring for the soil, selecting the plants, planting, growing, and harvesting. It is done by people who care about the food they eat.

Earthshares is part of how I enjoy Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. The organic produce is ultra fresh and ultra delicious. In early Spring I start looking forward to fresh lettuces, tomatoes, summer squash, garlic, onions, green beans, chard, kale, green and red peppers, corn, and lots more that I know is coming. It's not long before I'm drawn to visit the farm, walk the fields, and talk with the gardeners, who are already busy, busy, busy. I have a work share, which means that I get to experience growing and distributing food first hand for other members. I love doing that. Every year I learn many new things about the Earthshares produce that I enjoy (new recipes, preparation tips) from a great newsletter and from talking to the gardeners and other members. Earthshares has proven to be a helpful community of friendly people who get to grow and eat great food. Best value out there.

I joined Earth-Shares CSA two seasons ago and absolutely love it. The shares in my two seasons have been well worth the price. Produce is often picked the morning of my pick up so it is as fresh as can be. And it's organic. The farmers are great people, as are the other CSA members. Members have optional get togethers to work in the fields or to eat together. Members also receive a weekly email that shares recipes, tips, and information about what produce to expect that week.

100% satisfaction. I highly recommend.

This was my family's first CSA experience, and it was a great one. You can truly tell the difference between the freshness of these fresh locally grown vegetables, compared to the ones you buy at the grocery (that have been trucked in from hundreds of miles away.) The pickups were a breeze, and all of the people were extremely nice. I highly recommend this CSA.
