The produce is always very fresh and of good quality. Premade baked goods are delicious, too. We are always greeted by the vendors when we visit on either Tuesday or Saturday. It's also nice to enjoy the fresh air rather than a boxy grocery store.

An assortment for everyone! From organic cheese, fresh beautiful produce and free range organic eggs and meats to a vegan food stand...it has it all! Even local plants, flowers and trees to help clean and beautify the environment. All located in the quaint little Woodstock town square, home of the movie Groundhog Day and surrounded by wonderful family owned shops to further help the economy. It is a Blast!

The products are wonderful. Including the locally grown and packaged meat, the multiple vegetable and floral stands, and the apron lady (Jen) has adorable matching aprons including those for matching daughter/mother. Of course the historic brick paved square and live music provides a good old country feeling atmosphere is refreshing to the soul.

I support the Woodstock Farmers Market because of the locally grown foods that are offered there, the friendly and very helpful people that are selling the foods and excellent and ever increasing variety of foods and other products. It is in a delightful location and the music adds another very enjoyable touch. This Farmers Market has become a true "Event", a place and happening that people want to attend, to be part of. Strolling around the Market I see so many happy people (most of whom are carrying bags of goodies that they have purchased) and often hear a variety of languages as well, as it becomes a "destination". If you want to buy wonderful local food and other things and be around happy people, this is the place to be.

It's the best market outside of Chicago and the North Shore. It's the only suburban market that requires vendors to grow on their own local property. It also has a great setting in the historic Woodstock Square (as seen in the movie "Groundhog Day". You can imagine watching Bill Murray take a dive off of the Opera House tower while you shop!

It is one of the only locally grown (non-shipper) markets in our area, in other words, the farmers grow all of the produce they sell and do not buy it from elsewhere. That is an incredibly important point of difference for the Woodstock market...one that a lot of people who go to other markets may not be aware of.

This is a true farmers' market featuring the best and freshest local groan produce and food. Set on picturesque Woodstock Square in the shadows of a domed 19th Century Court House and the imposing bell tower of the Woodstock Opera house, a visit to the market is a treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds. Vendors are friendly, tasty food is available, and there is frequently music from Woodstock's lively folk scene. Although many near-by towns now also have farmers' markets, the Woodstock Market attracts not just loyal locals but a regional following. On some summer mornings it might count as a tourist destination for the growing number of folks who come to town for its unique charm.

The produce including large organic selections are great. There is organic meat, flowers, and plants. The town square is one of the most beautiful in the country, with many of the stores joining in with sidewalk sales. There are always local musicians performing on the stage. It's always a great event and makes the other nearby farmers markets pale by comparison. I vote for Woodstock.

This is the most wonderful farmers' market. As a resident of Woodstock I have had the pleasure of going to this market for years and it just keeps getting better and better. Many of the growers even use organic methods and all of the produce is high quality. The market board is committed to keeping this a farmer centered market while still allowing other vendors in the park to add variety. You can even buy a handmade apron there. You can't get better meat than Willow Lea it feels good to know how well the animals are being cared for. I am looking forward to the fresh tomatoes and eggplant that should be coming soon and for Nancy's garlic to dry so that I can buy one of the braids. There are even samples. The local farmers' co-op cheese is great and you can follow it with a sample of local wine. It's wonderful to get to know the farmers who grow your food. We are so fortunate to have an authentic farmers' market. We may have to wait until the tomatoes ripen in McHenry County, but it's worth it. By the way, don't miss out on the homemade hummus at Expressly Leslie it's amazing!
