When researching a CSA, I stumbled upon Wake Robin Farm. I was drawn in by the amount of diversity in the fruits and veggies they offer throughout the season. You cannot ask for better produce. Each pick-up is greeted with a generous amount of crop. Communication from the Farm Manager, Abby is fantastic. I find myself anxious for her weekly email (sent out on Sundays) with a list of what will be in the upcoming week's pick-up. She explains the more rare veggies, suggests recipes and offers tips and tricks on storing, prepping and preserving. I have participated in the summer and winter CSA at Wake Robin and couldn't be happier. I have learned so much providing healthy, local, fresh food to my family. I can't wait to see what next summer brings.

I participated in a winter share at Wake Robin Farm for the first time this year. I was immediately hooked! Abby, the farm manager is well organized and so easy to work with. She sends e-mails to members describing what will be in the share, wonderful recipes to try and even some history and pertinent information about the vegetables. I loved learning about new vegetables and how to prepare things like kohlrabi and sun chokes. Each week I couldn't wait to pick up my share and start cooking. Experimenting with different vegetables re-energized my cooking. I loved basing my meals around vegetables. If you want to eat foods that taste amazing and are good for you, I would encourage you to join Wake Robin Farm's CSA. I can't wait for spring.....

Almost every Saturday at the farmers market in Portsmouth i buy flowers from Wake Robin Farm. They are so fresh and beautiful and they last almost 2 weeks. I decided to buy sunflowers from the farm for my wedding. When I went to the farm I was amazed at the quality and quantity of the flowers. It also happened to be the CSA pick up day at the farm. The vegatables looked plentiful and delicious. If your thinking of joing a CSA these guys are the way to go. The farm is beautiful and was great to visit.

This is my first year participating in the CSA. What a fabulous way to support local farms while enjoying local, not trucked farm goods. Wake Robin Farm is extremely generous with their produce. It is completely satisfying to receive my most generous share of the freshest veggies each week. Wake Robin farm has also introduced me to delicious veggies that I never even noticed before, but now enjoy with great gusto. ( Kolrabi is one, and who knew I loooove beets! ) I love that it is all ready for me in an overflowing reusable bag each week too.
It is exciting to have a higher level of awareness and the opportunity to do something with that awareness. The CSA has expanded my view and enjoyment of locally grown and raised goods. I am grateful and privileged to realize what we have in our own back yard is by far superior.

We enjoy a CSA share from Wake Robin Farm each week and are thrilled with what we receive. Each generous bag is stuffed with fresh veggies, with something new each time. It's more than enough to last the whole week. The produce is big and beautiful, and Abby (the farmer) is always friendly and helpful. She e-mails us each week with a list of what we will receive and tips for cooking. We're amazed that we get so much each week. Pickup is quick and convenient - Abby has everything ready for a quick hand-off when we arrive - and we're always excited to see what will be in the bag. This system makes it easy and affordable to enjoy local food, which supports our local economy, is environmentally friendly, and way more delicious than imported produce.
