Excellant veggies, Horrible customer service!!!
By: MATT FRANK    (Aug 15, 2014)

Veggies were top notch!! Not so much for the customer service though! Week 10 of the share the weekly list of veggies and fruit came out, and when I picked up the share it was incorrect. I notified the farm and was givien a pretty short "Thanks for the heads up"reply. After replying again, all I can say is that the farmer's reply was nothing short of condecending and rude. There are many other CSA options on the north shore!! Think twice before going with First light farm.

Best farmer + organic soil biologist = best CSA
By: Cynthia Ann    (Jan 22, 2013)

The is the best CSA on the North Shore. The quality and volume are amazing. I tried other CSA's over the years, but nothing compares to this farm. It all begins with the soil and the best seeds. If you get that right, the crops taste amazing and this farmer and land/plot has all the best elements. Everything they grow is beautiful and I love all the distribution locations they offer. Great price too. Most claim to offer 17-19 weeks. I've never had less than 20 weeks with this CSA. Best value for money around!

We are hooked on this CSA. The quality of the food is great and all the people involved are knowledgeable and friendly. We've opted into the fruit share for two years as well and love it. Between our little patio garden and this share our kids know what real food is. They refuse to eat restaurant tomatoes. Wouldn't give it up for anything.

High quality, extremely dependable, and passionate!
By: Jason Long    (Feb 9, 2011)

First Light Farm has been a wonderful farm to partner with. At Rawbert's Organic Cafe we use local farmers, and First Light Farm was definitely one of the greatest sources we have. The farmers know what they are doing, they grow some really outstanding quality vegetables and fruit, and were all around amazing people. I couldn't have been more happy with the product, and the service that they gave us!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the crew at FLF!

Best CSA ever
By: Ann McCann    (Jan 22, 2011)

I was one of the very first people to sign up for the first season of First Light Farm. Now we're getting the first winter share - and it's the best experience ever. It's a wonderful CSA, and Mike is a farming genius. even in the bitterest winter in years, we got a huge box of root veggies (love the carrots and potatoes and celeriac) - and two big shopping bags of fresh greens - in the winter. Can't recommend this CSA highly enough.

This CSA has changed my life
By: cyndi mcmahon    (Jan 17, 2011)

I'm a two-year member of the First Light Farm CSA community and without a doubt, it's changed my life. This farm-to-table CSA offers such an amazing variety of produce each week. Garlic, yellow gourmet tomatoes, purple brocolli, and the most delicious fresh herbs. Every week I open my CSA share and introduce this week's items to my children. We talk about ways to prepare the food, and what items would go well with what. The food is so fresh and so healthy that my kids love it. My food taste better and we're living healthier because of this CSA. The price of this CSA is excellent, variety is amazing, and quality is unmatched. This is the real-deal CSA for anyone looking for an A+ clean food/sustainable produce change in their life. The farmer is known in the area as the "one to call when other farms have a problem". He works with volunteers, barters and supports small communities and families.

AMAZING produce. You just can't compare it when it comes right out of the ground and onto your plate. The share was more than enough for a vegetarian and her husband, enough even to make soup with the leftovers at the end of the week. AND the PEOPLE are so genuine and friendly it was a pleasure just to pick up the share every week (beats a checkout line any day!) I LOVE FIRST LIGHT!
