We live in a cold, dry, desert climate; not the best for local farms. The majority of our vendors come from at least 60 miles away (but we have some fantastic locals as well). We are a small market, we only take up 1/2 block (for now!), but we have big dreams and believe in local foods and sustainability. Every Saturday thru Oct 10, 9:30am-1:30pm, Main & Virginia Streets, Gunnison, CO.

Our Farmer's Market encourages sustainable agriculture. We are isolated in a high mountain valley with a short growing season. Freshl local produce is scarce this time of year but local gardeners bring anything they can spare to a booth that sells the produce to support the local food bank. Every year the market supports many educational efforts to help people cook with fresh food and learn how to grown their own, even in our challenging climate. The market is run by an all-volunteer group that sacrifices their Saturdays in the most gorgeous place on earth. during the most gorgeous season. They deserve support and credit for all they do.
