I'm a vendor at the farmers market, and I want to say that it's such a joy to see the citizens come out and support us. Seeing the smiles, answering questions, and having fun is what it's all about-it makes all the hard work worthwhile. Thank you to the supporters of the Farmer's Market! Without you we wouldn't be able to have the market at all. If you need fruits, vegetables, meat, honey, plants, baked goods, gifts...the farmers market has you covered. See you early summer 2010!

Good quality food that is fresh with a wide selection and reasonably priced. Other items are available and make for an attractive visit for all. I will surely visit again when I next come to town.

Because they are all local farmers and you can get more than just home grown veggies and fruits.

I visited the Farmers Market and they had a variety of fresh vegetables and meats etc and when we don't have access to a grocery store in the county it provides a variety of diffferent items for citizens to choose from

No cheaters! It's all local from people we know on a first name basis---everything from lamb chops to kolhrabi with a thousand choices in between. Sweet corn from the field to the grill in less than 6 hours!!!

You can buy fresh produce (and other items) grown right here in our county while helping our agricultural community.

My dad is a vendor there and he has great produce.The produce from everyone is always fresh and you have additional great items to buy such as meat, eggs,honey,plants. A small town market with the best Kentucky can offer.

Because I learned something new from a vendor there. He told me the difference between yellow squash and crook neck. I think others that go to the market can learn about agriculture just by talking to these knowledgable growers.

Every county needs a Farmers Market and yours is the best in your county! You deserve to win!

Garrard County needs the Farmers Market due to no grocery store. Support the local farmers. Nice place to live and great people.

Local food is better and makes sense on a lot of levels. I'm a fan of Garrard County producer Pike Valley Farm Foods, because they use sustainable farming methods.

I reside in Garrard County, and we are in desparate need of sources to buy food. We currently have no grocery store! What a great way to encourage economic growth, with a Farmer's Market! Supporting local farmers and the need to buy food in such a healthy, tasty way! Awesome!

Our local farmers market has the quaint small town charm with many vendors that each have their own inventory to boast about from fresh produce, meats, crafts, art, and live music. When you attend the bi-weekly market you are not only shopping but attending a fun event!

Good, hard working, honest folks deserve to "reap what they sow"...that's why I support the Garrard County Farmer's Market. Our country has been invaded by foods with additives, hormones, pesticides and other terrible things which enter our bodies and make us sick. It's time we know who, how, what, when and why our local farmers care to produce "the very best" for all of us. It's time we come together and buy from our "backyard growers"...BUY LOCAL!!!

The Farmers Market helps both our community and our farmers by providing fresh produce, meat, eggs and plants. Shopping is an enjoyable experience that includes listening to live music, and an opportunity to buy baked goods and gifts from local artisans.

Our Farmers Market is newly rejuvenated and needs all the comunity support it can get to be successful. Garrard is a family farming community that has alot to share with the general public. Local artisans round out the group to add an interesting mix of offerings.
