This is great local farm and the honeybee hive is great to watch. However, their produce is not organic. Since it is so close to me, I do shop there regularly

Close to home. Fresh, just picked produce. They produce their own honey. Tasty baked goods. Healthy vegetable plants and flowers. Fair prices. Friendly, courteous staff.

Came by this farm with my two children earlier on in this fall (2008), September I think. I was planning to pick apples with my children, but unfortunately, was not able to this day (even though it is offered at certain times during the fall).

What saved the day for this visit? First, my children were completely captivated by the honeybee hive integrated into one of the walls for the store. The never tired of watching the bees run down the tunnels to get to or leave the hive.

Secondly, the gift baskets they sell are completely amazing. The lady at the bakery counter was extremely helpful with putting a basket together on the spot, which I thought was super. All of the items I was going to buy separately, were instead integrated into a beautiful creation.

Having said all of this, I would recommend that anyone call to ask specific questions as to what is planned/permitted for that day, if you have ideas/plans for what you would like out of your farm experience.

This is a busy farm, with a focus on retailing (it is close to Harrisburg). The high counters and tractors/forklifts coming through the storefront- not so kid friendly.
