I graduated from the U. of Oregon with a geography major in 1952, and since have observed the changing world climates and the witnessed the Western World's economic system quickly destroying indigenous farming all over the world and greatly reducing the varieties of vegetables obtainable at our supermarkets. (Especially notice the homogenous tomato crop offered.) I support my Farmers' Market with the hope that a bit of individuality in world food production can be preserved.

I live in Fairfield and I love fresh produce. Especially when it's grown locally.

The vegetables are nicer and cheaper than the supermarket and the sellers are friendlier and it's a lot of fun to go and see all the wonderful thiings people have to sell!
