Today my kids and I went to the farm to see the place we'd be buying our CSA share from for 2012. We are SO excited to be apart of Dancing Hen Farms CSA. Kasey, the farm dog, greeted us with a happy face and lots of excitement. Ellen gave us a great tour around the farm and explained the processes as well as taking time in the hen house. My daughter loved seeing the hens and learning about the laying of eggs. Don also gave us information about the process of boxing up items and what we can expect. Visiting the farm and seeing what we are investing in was an educational opportunity that couldn't be ignored. I thank Dan, Joan, Ellen, and Kasey for giving us the opportunity to see what we are investing in and learning more about the CSA process. More people should take the time to go out to the farm and see what's happening! Thank you again Dancing Hen Farms!!

What I also enjoy about DHF is the open communication. No question is left alone. I have emailed several questions to Joan and Don. Within a few hours, my questions are answered. They are attentive to detail and don't mind my questions (ones that inform).

I'm leaving an open star so I can rate the produce as it arrives.

My husband and I joined the Dancing Hen Farm CSA for the first time for the 2010 growing season. We purchased a half share and an egg share. Every week we pick up our box at the Forty Fort location, and every week we are pleasantly surprised.

As everyone knows, CSA products depend on the weather and the growing season, but we feel we have been given a good amount and variety of food throughout the year.

Every week we receive a newsletter from the farm that keeps us updated about the growing season, growing conditions, vegetables we can expect in the upcoming weeks weeks, and more. Some of the newsletters even contain recipes for the products we've been given.

The main reason we joined a CSA is because we feel supporting local agriculture is important, and we value fresh, sustainable food. We have been pleased with our relationship with Dancing Hen Farm, and we plan to purchase a half share again next year.
