i know a lot might be disappointed by the flea market style of this market but that is what makes it unique and more European in style. They could use a few more veggie stands but there is always some there, I have no idea what the other people are talking about, perhaps it was the very beginning of May but there are always great farms like T and H.
I was just there last week and found tons of veggies.

I agree with the other reviewer who stated that this was more like a flea market. I came to this "farmer's market" expecting to see veggies and fruit. There was NONE. Just flea market resale type stuff. The name should be changed!! This is NOT a farmer's market!

This market has the friendliest people, and it includes a lot more than food. I always get great, fresh veggies, plus some kind of treasure. My only complaint is that I spend too much time there because there's always so much to look at. Everyone's produce is fantastic; there's a farmer there named Tim who has the BEST sweet corn you can wrap your gums around. Look for him under the big tree. It's so fresh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I also really like that it's on Saturday, because I work full time. Oh, and I should add, right across the street from the market (which is in a cute little downtown), there is a fabulous PIE SHOP!!! Buy those fresh veggies, people, but don't forget the pie! It's called The Measuring Cup. Don't miss it.

They are open on the weekend, so that my husband and I can get a chance to go out and get local produce (usually organic) and there's nothing quite as good as a homegown tomato, not those genetically engineered things with no taste and tough skins. These are the best local farmers and the best produce!

Like the combo of farmer's market and flea market. Always find something to buy.

Like any farmer's market, Old Dundee Farmer's Market has the freshest vegetables around, and with that the friendly service we have become accustomed to. But as well, Old Dundee Farmer's Market has incorporated a unique form of Flea Market to it's mix, along with the freshest flowers native to our area. All in all,
a great place to get your fresh vegies, flowers, and, that certain "something"; did I mentioned the arts and crafts? Well just come and visit and see for yourself. The Old Dundee Farmer's Market is located in East Dundee Illinois off of Main Street (Route 72), nestled in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.

This is more like a flea market as I only say two stands selling fruits and veggies. I was quite disappointed as I expected it to be more like the ones in Geneva, Wheaton and St Charles.

I agree with you - I've never seen fruit or veggies here.
