I support the Tanana Valley Farmer's Market because it is a great way for Fairbanksans to reduce their carbon footprint and support the local economy. Fairbanks farmers also grow some of the finest produce around!

A Saturday morning at the TVFM is the best quality time I've ever had with my daughter and a Wednesday lunch at the TVFM is the best break with work pals ever. Spring, summer, and the coming of fall - each is a special season with the food, art, and friends found at the TVFM.

The have great products and I love to give my business to these hard working folks. I wish I could buy from them all year long instead of just summers. They work hard to insure their products are of high quality and organic. Everything that is at the market is produced, grown, or made in Alaska. It is the only place in Fairbanks where Made in Alaska is truly Made in Alaska. This is a great place for visitors also to find a treasure to take back that is really Alaskan. Kudos to this great market!

It's the best. Great selection and great folks. A fun place to see friends while munching on the goodies offered there at the farmer's market.

It is a great place for our local farmers to share their harvests, as well as a wonderful place for local artisans to show off their beautiful things.

We have so little access to "local" food in Alaska. Tanana Valley Farmers Market is our source for wonderful fresh local produce.

I have sold bedding plants, herbs and cutflowers at the Tanana Valley Farmer's Market for many years. We are very proud of our Market, which is the Farthest North in the Northern Hemisphere ! All products offered at the Tanana Valley Farmers Market must be Made, Grown or Produced in Alaska. In this way we support local endeavors and showcase Alaskan Agriculture and our customers can buy with confidence directly from the farmer, producer or craftsperson. It's a terrific Market !

I support the Farmer's Market because I value small local businesses gathering in a friendly positive environment to sell their produce, crafts, art and specialties. The atmosphere is refreshing and wonderfully healthy!

Locally produced food is not as plentiful in AK as in some other places - TVFM is a great resource for locavorism. And the crafts are fabulous.

The fact that they assist seniors and low income people in accessing the fresh fruits and vegetables not otherwise available to them. I am sure that there is a government subsidy that goes along with it and donations. Either way, their help in and availability the community is greatly appreciated.

I love the farmer's market for all of the community and support they give each other. It is a great way to spend an hour or so, and they are always making it better. It is so impossible to get fresh food up here, but the farmer's market always has lettuce and a few other veggies several weeks before my own garden.

If anyone thinks Fairbanks has no local-grown hope...you are totally wrong and probably glad to be. This Farmer's Market is an impressive bustling mix of local farmers and creators. In fact, it's bursting its seams. It needs waaaay more parking and waaaay more open space. I'm giving it 5 stars because how can you not be impressed by a huge array of local creators and growers in a far-away cold arid isolated place like Fairbanks? The local farmers manage to eek out precious sustenance from this unlikely northern place. Only 3 months of growth means these people are hard-working folk who aren't doing this for the glory. I thank you! And I can't wait to see you in June! (I only worry that I won't be able to find a parking space, or that I will expire in the heat and car exhaust because of heavy traffic on College Road. But either way, I will be there and do my best to support local growers.)
