Hello, I am Vera, Program Coordinator for Fresh Approach, a local nonprofit that merged with Collective Roots in 2018. This market is still very active but has changed locations to 2555 Pulgas Ave, East Palo Alto, CA. We will be there every Wednesday from 11 am- 2 pm until November 25th, and will return in April of 2021.
Hope to see you out there, please follow all market new guidelines to keep everyone safe.

The Market began as a hopeful whisper among a small group of EPA residents, civic leaders, health advocates and other professionals. Thanks to the able stewardship of Colllective Roots and the many, many committed and generous hearts and hands of volunteers and supporters, the Market has literally blossomed into a chief attraction; a beloved, vibrant community offering.

It makes fresh, healthy (and organic) food choices conveniently available in the community. No one should have to leave his or her community in order to obtain nourishing food. And it is FUN!

It is a wonderful community-created farmers market that provides fresh, healthy, affordable food. It is well-run, engages people of all ages in the community, and seeks to find innovative ways to improve food access in East Palo Alto -- through Fresh Checks, EBT and WIC.

It serves one of the lowest income communities in the Bay Area and continually strives to find better ways to serve the community.

We have to travel too far just to get good fresh produce. A farmer's market is sorely needed

East Palo Alto does not have any large supermarkets. This farmer's market provides me with an opportunity to buy fresh produce from local farmers. It is within walking distance from my home and I can buy a week's worth of produce for about $15.00 or less. Local programs that provide food for homeless and low income families also benefit from this market.
