In a quiet, accesible location 3 miles west of hwy 75 on FM 121 in the village of Elmont, Texas lies a true find for the processed food weary. The Historic Elmont Farmers Market is created to provide a true agricultural farmers market where the vendors create a myriad of foods, crafts and local handmade products, fruits and vegetables utilizing natural or organic methods. Freshly grown fruits and vegetables are the staple of the market not to mention homemade bakery items, pottery, soaps, candles, flowers, organic beef, fresh artisan breads, tamales, needle crafts, jewelery, bird houses, seasonal crafts and other products. Vendors are very proud of thier crafts and take time to speak to the customers, answering all questions in an easy going, country friendly demenor. Thank you to all for bringing this market to our area!

They are innovative, devoted to the purity of products...all top quality and all created by the sellers. No resale stuff here. Delicious selection and a wide variety of seasonal delights!

They were instrumental in helping me lose weight last year, when i went on a mostly raw food diet. Everything is soooooo fresh and tasty....and organic! I am not on the raw foods only diet, but I still love to go there for ALL my produce when they are open. Also, love the pickles and jams!!!

I recently visited Texas from Florida. I've been craving fresh, homemade tortillas. My sister brought me here, and I bought out the store! Loved all the Mexican products, and the fresh fruit and vegetables. Wish I could take you home with me!

Best and friendliest farmer's market around. They could sure use some air-conditioning in this Texas heat.

I get up early every Saturday just to visit this market. There is so much to buy here other than veggies. However, the veggies and fruits are the best! And the people are outstanding! So friendly, they always remember me and come up to say hello and give a hug. Their prices are reasonable, unlike the stand farther up the road!

It's harder and harder to find REAL homegrown fruits and veggies without all the pesticides, and that aren't grown in hothouses. A rare and special find to find honest to goodness homegrown food!

They work really hard to bring the freshest produce to the area. It's really really hot there (I set up a table once but it was miserable!) I think the customers would stay longer if it were cooler, too! My friends deserve to be cool so they can continue to bring fresh produce to the area. Love you all!

My sister has a stand there with outstanding produce. They need electricity so the vendors can have fans. It's hot down here!

An almost 'life time' (36 years out of 58) friend sells her vegetables there. It's absolutely worth the drive from my home town!

In a small barn, just off of the beaten path, there is a lovely farmers market. They do not have electricity and it is so hot in Texas. This is a very good reason to win the $5,000.

I use to run a booth there and enjoyed the excitment it brought to us to sell our vegetables to others. Making new friend and seeing the same dedicated people every weekend.
The building is an old grocery store converted into a barn. The building has no electricity and can get a little stifling inside. The $5000.00 would help provide electricity for some fans and lighting.

I am a vendor at this market. I love meeting our customers and having them come back over and over again, telling me how great the salad mix, squash, onions etc. were. It is so rewarding to know that all of the work and effort put in by myself, my husband and all the vendors at the Market was enjoyed by a group of people that love home grown, pesticide free produce! This is God's bounty coming to you through us!

I rarely miss a Saturday morning at the Elmont Farmers Market if I can help it. Great people, great selection and great products. There are now also crafts being sold such as pottery, rugs and knit work.
Go out and see them....you won't be dissapointed.
