Because of the quality and variety of the vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads, crackers and hand carved stirring and tasting devices, herbs, flowers, dim sum, and the feeling developed over time of confidence and friendship and family. This feeling is developed further in seeing these familiar suppliers in the local resturants.

My son and soon to be daughter in law manage the damariscotta farmers market. I live in Mass.but I try to get to maine as often as I can and always help them on market day. Not only is their stall{morning dew organic farm}set up to impress and draw in folks to the fabulous bounty of their farm but all the vendors have such wonderful ideas and fare that no one can leave empty handed. Also this market does not have crafts like so many farmers markets do. Craft fairs are great on their own. This is a lovely friday morning market you shouldn't miss
