Fresh, beautiful, locally grown food, great breads and wonderful goat cheese!!! This market has grown and improved significantly in recent years. It is a fun place to socialize too.

Super FRESH food, friendly people who know where the food comes from and how it was raised and/or baked or made. A treat in the world of month-old "treated" supermarket produce.

After viewing FOOD,INC., I'm even MORE grateful to have our friendly neighborhood LOCAL GROCERS available at the Skowhegan Farmers' Market. In a world dominated by mega-farms propagating profits instead of providing true sustenance, I find SFM a safe haven for finding REAL FOOD. Plus, it's just a cool place to get to "know your grocer."

It has the best of what Somerset county offers in home-grown fruits, vegetables, breads and dairy products. It upholds the long-standing tradition of Central Maine farmers sharing their bounties.

Its a good source of fresh produce and fresh honey for someone on a special diet. (I cant have any fast food even know at times I desire it) but doctor says no. So I go along with what he says.

Everyone is friendly and sharing and there is actually entertainment there weekly. They have local musicians and also a kids art area! This farmers market is one of only two in the state that accept foodstamps which means everyone can enjoy local fresh fruits and veggies!
