This is my first experience joining a CSA and I wanted to join a farm that did organic vegetables and was not too expensive also. Sunset Farm is the answer.

Matt is very helpful in providing notifications and provides a lot of produce even for a half share. I am still using the box of tomatoes, zuchhini he gave me in the summer.

In Addition, Matt provides Organic eggs when needed from another farm. He has the convenient pickup option from Jersey City which is very hard to find in the Northern New jersey area.

I give full 5 stars to Sunset Farm for growing all different vegetables and providing us farm fresh produce even though we don't live near the farm. Its definitely a CSA to join for folks living in Jersey City, Secaucus and around areas since its the best.

From Sunset View Farm - Oh my. You are referring to a CSA program run by Matt several years ago. We no longer offer that here. Now we are a CSG, not a CSA. The difference is that people lease a plot and grow what they like, and take home fresh, naturally grown produce they grow themselves, with our help if needed. We are on a 20 acre, beautiful farm with beautiful people.

If you don't have the time to grow your own produce, Matt's CSA at Sunset View is a pretty awesome experience too. Fun, educational and a plentiful share! Well worth the small investment.

Well, we are still a fun and educational place to visit for sure. We just don't run a CSA anymore, but we do hope you will join our CSG and grow your own healthful food on a leased garden plot, in a community of other health-minded local people.

By donating a few hours of my time during the season to the farm I can plant things in my own plot that won't fit on my deck at home! I love having the freedom to plant that space offers you! More butternut squash plants please! More variety in my cucumbers, and definitely more San Marzano tomatoes! There's nothing like growing your own produce, that farm fresh taste no store bought tomato can compete with! Picked fresh off the plant and eaten while it's still warm from the heat of the sun. Look for news of our CSA new this year. This gardener is very excited for the planting to begin, sunsets to be admired, weeds to be tended to and flowers to enjoy!

We are so happy to hear of Susan's delight in our farm and gardening program. We love our community gardeners and hope the public will come visit us throughout the season to see the beautiful gardens, gorgeous scenery, and to attend our educational workshops in the activity barn.
