The Highland Farmers market is convenient; I live a few blocks away and can easily carry a couple of bags of Colorado produce while walking. With the market and other programs emerging, the Highland neighborhood continues to build an attractive model as a Denver urban community.

everything at this market is local- rather than from CA or Mexico masquerading as local. It is a very laid back atmosphere and all of the farmers are very knowledgeable and friendly. It also happens to be the best neighborhood in Denver!

Real food is IMPORTANT! WE MUST support and speak up for local - organic and natural Farming - they way our food is intended to be- not what has happened to our food- the PUBLIC needs to know MOST of our food is NOT taking a natural path to us any more! FARMERS MARKETS are the ONLY REAL food source! THANK YOU for growing seasonal and natural food! :)

The Highlands Farmers' Market builds community. Everyone get together and visits as they buy the family produce needs. Capped by a cup of Coffee at Common Grounds, you know why we call this part of town, a little bit of paradise.

Buying grass fed meat and sustainably raised meat is of critical importance to me. You can no longer trust Whole Foods to sell us meat that we know has not been in a feedlot, destroying our health and our environment. Buying produce locally from a real farmer (as opposed to an industrialzed farmer) is critical. Colorado has so few farmers and right now we ship all our produce from Mexico in the winter and California in the summer. Our food travels farther than most Americans! This has to stop!
I also get to see my neighbors each weekend and support local businesses.
