I want to eat local food grown naturally and with organic practices... and the Farmers Market in Rocky Mount enables me to buy such food FRESH and at an affordable price. I really enjoy the sense of community at the Farmers Market and the sharing of knowledge between patrons and vendors... such as: how to grow the best beets, how to bake great pound cakes, where coffee beans are grown, what to plant when, and how to cook all those great veggies! To top it all off, the market offers wonderful plants, cut flowers, and crafts that make great gifts!

This is an all-inclusive market. It ranges from colorful varieties of peppers from around the world to lush house plants, homemade goods and a myriad of other products and produce to keep you cookin':) Every year we wonder if they could fit another magnificent vendor in its big building, well, it used to seem big!:)

We buy locally grown produce, especially naturally grown or organically grown. We need to support our local farmers who work so hard.

I support local farmers that provide local, healthy food. $$$ stay in Rocky Mount instead of being sent to China or other countries. I am disappointed that food store import fruit and vegetables from other countries instead of buying it locally. Obviously they do not know that if they buy from local farmers, the money will be spent locally to generate more taxes and profit locally.

I just love the farmers market. The location is a little off the beaten path, but the atmosphere is very nice. I like to go down to the market on a Saturday morning. Most mornings I stop by the coffee guys stand and get a fresh brewed cup of organic coffee - for free! I pickup a bakery item, like apple jacks, from one of the bakery gals. I load up on fresh vegetables and produce for the week (plenty of folks to buy from - some grow organically or all-natural). And to top it all off, I buy my wife a beautiful bouquet of fresh cut flowers! This little market may be a secret to many in the area, but it gets better every year.
