McMinnville is a warm friendly town and all the people that bring us their fruits, veggies and breads are hard workers to keep this town beautiful and enjoyable not to just those of us get to live here, but to everyone who visits. Farmer's market gives us all the opportunities to meet and let each other know that we are all standing together to bring the best and fairest prices to help everyone to eat and drink healthier and support our economy at the same time.

Charming people and atmosphere in the heart of historic downtown Mac and wine country. Old world feeling with fair prices and unusual variety of merchandise. I play there every years and love it.

The Farmers Market is held right in the middle of a beautiful historic downtown area - very homey with an 'old time feel'. Great vendors - crafts are hand made (nothing 'store bought') and a good selection of produce, cheeses, and food products, etc. Very well run Farmers' Market.

It has the perfect location; easy to get to by walking, biking or car and near other shopping. It has great fresh food vendors with a variety of options along with artists, flowers, prepared food and baked goods. It is a wonderful place to meet people.

I like the unique variety of the market...it is smaller but has just the right mix of vendors. The atmosphere is always vibrant and alive...the flower vendors, the variety of produce, honey, eggs, chicken, mushrooms, fresh berries and wonderfully selected craftspeople. I look forward to each Thursday to buy locally and greet all my friends and listen to the music.

I prefer to buy local food so I know where it comes from. Our farmers market focuses on organic so that's an added plus. It's a nice way to socialize with the local people and meet others from outside the community. Our market is a good mix of food products and arts and crafts. It's run well with a lot of thought put in to who the vendors are. Our added plus is a local winery every week!! It's a good size and in a really nice setting. I haven't been to one I like more.

City Sidewalks! Busy Sidewalks! Meeting smile after smile. In the air there's a feeling of friendship. What a beautiful atmosphere at the McMinnville Farmer's Market -- of friends and community swapping 'heartfully' grown and locally produced consumables, exchanging greetings of appreciation and encouragement, and supplying high-quality comestibles to satisfy the creative visions of local chefs and gourmands alike. My friends, my community! Eat heartily!

The McMinnville Farmers Market supports local farmers and artisans while providing residents with the perfect place to enjoy fresh food, arts & crafts, and each other. There is no other charm, friendliness, and fun like the one you find at the McMinnville Farmer's Market!

The McMinnville Farmers Market is an integral part of our vibrant community. Walker says, It is a place where the kids can hang out with friends or the babysitter. It's a place where people can catch up and hang out. It is a key part of our incredibly fun community. Marion says, The Fawmers Mawket has gweat food. I love hanging out and sipping Lucy's Lemonade and eating caramel.

The McMinnville Farmer's Market gives me easy access to produce and meat grown and raised in a responsible manner and direct contact with the farmers. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, the variety is remarkable, there is music, wine to sample, and a warming feeling of community. Even if I'm only rushing in to check something off my list, I always wind up slowing down to hug a friend I haven't seen in a while. That never happens while I'm behind a cart in the store.

We moved from Minnesota to Oregon 1 year ago. Our very first full day upon arriving was an August Thursday, so we headed to the McMinnville Farmers' Market. We nearly wept when we saw the gorgeous bounty of fruits and vegetables, all locally grown and proudly displayed. I couldn't believe the incredible taste of the peaches, and the size of the juicy blackberries, and was so grateful to be able to live in such an incredible area. We never miss a week, and the Mac Farmers' Market has to be one of the best places in the universe.

I like supporting local craft folks and farmers/food artisans. The food is delicious. It's difficult to get there on Thursday as I work from 1:00 to 6:30. I heard there are thoughts of a permanent year long F's Market. I'd vote for it!

I shop at our local market every Thursday, getting enough flowers, fruits & veggies to last the week. I love buying local and supporting our local farmers and crafters! The money I spend at the market stays here in Yamhill County and is a boost to our economy, not to mention the goods are excellent! I <3 our Farmers Market!

I love going to the market to see my friends, buy fresh LOCAL produce and watch the kids - a new generation of shoppers who are learning early about good food and where it comes from. It comes from the earth through the hard work of our farmers - not wrapped in plastic at a food store.

The McMinnville area has a long tradition of farming, and the more we can support that and prevent the land from being taken over by developers, the better.Equally important, I believe strongly in buying and eating local produce, from a health as well as an environmental point of view; besides which, it just TASTES so much better! Finally, the McMinnville Farmers' Market is a great gathering place for connecting with friends and acquainances.

McMinnville is a vibrant, community oriented town with many opportunities like the Thursday Farmers' Market to share its "agricultural, artisitic and social bounty" with those who weekly go there. Each week, the Yamhill County Master Gardeners and the McMinnville Garden Club have booths there. Wonderful!

Fabulous variety of local vendors. Equal balance of organic and conventional local farms, ranches, fishers, poultry raisers, artisanal cheeses, brewers, wineries, flower and nurseries. Food vendors are local and eclectic. Music is wonderful. This market has grown and added more small organic farms over the last four years. Choices and variety continue to multiply. A great market.

The farmers who frequent this market are our local Tradition Bearers of food and local agriculture, and they have worked hard to bring to us fresh, wholesome produce. However, I do not think, if this Farmer's Market is chose, that the McMinnville Downtown Association should receive the grant. The farmers themselves should share in the entirety of the $5,000 since they are the ones doing all the work and paying the very high fees to have booth's there.
