We loved it last year. Helpful and friendly staff, lots of vegetables and a great selection of common as well as unique herbs. (pineapple mint!) We purchased a half share and it was plenty for the 2 of us. Also our tree for the holidays was beautiful. Highly recommend a membership.

The quality and quantity of veggies really exceeded our expectations. I tried several vegetables I had never eaten before. It is a real treat to have delicious fresh vegetables and herbs to offer my sometimes-finicky children. They were willing to try a bite of anything and found some foods they enjoyed that surprised them too. Visiting the farm was a real treat for us too. My 1 year old was fascinated by the animals and my older two loved visiting the goats. The free Christmas tree we got was beautiful. I highly recommend this CSA for great vegetables and herbs, value, and family fun.

I was thrilled to discover the CSA program at Charmingfare Farm last year - and what an amazing season it was! John and his staff's skill and careful attention and commitment to healthy growing practices shows in the quality, variety and abundance of beautiful food they produce.
My husband and I have three small children, and found the bountiful full share to be just right. There was no shortage of inspiration to create healthful, nutritious meals all season long. The produce (and fresh herbs, picked to order - yes!!) is absolutely fabulous. So fresh and healthy, no harmful chemicals - food you can really feel good about feeding your family.
We also loved visiting the farm regularly to check out the fields and animals, what a wonderful added bonus. The staff is organized, friendly and attentive. Overall just a wonderful experience! I highly recommend the Charmingfare Farm CSA program.

I LOVE Charmingfare Farm's CSA!
Wednesday (pickup day) has become my new favorite day of the week. My family and I have met some new veggies - hakurai, garlic scapes, and vitamin greens - and gotten reacquainted with some others - cauliflower and Swiss chard, to name just a few. We are certainly eating healthily this summer.
The produce is sooo fresh and delicious and the folks at Charmingfare are very friendly and helpful. Joining this CSA was one of the wisest decisions we have made in a long time.

Such beautiful produce! A real variety of veggies and fruit. We bought a half share (two adults) and bring home plenty of food. They will cut herbs for you from their beautiful herb garden. The staff is friendly and helpful. A great addition to our community!

Charmingfare's 2009 community supported agricultural farm offered many different types of vegetables, herbs & flowers. With the very difficult rainy season they still managed to provide an abundance of items. Emily offered many great recipes for things that I had never heard about, I tried them out and to my surprise offered a very nice addition to our regular meals. It was also nice to have herbs & flowers when they were available, the fragrances were absolutely amazing.
Last year, we had a 1/2 share, this year however we have gone to a full share. We also enjoyed the pumpkins, corn stalks, Christmas tree and of course admission into the farm.
I wish John, Kyle and all the other "wonderful" employees continued success with this program & look forward to getting my "fresh" vegetables again this year.

My wife and I signed up for the inaugural CSA at Charmingfare Farm in 2009, as it is close to our home. We found the selection, particularly after a rainy spring, to be excellent. We had a half-share, but the amount of food was more than sufficient.
Considering this was the first year of the CSA, we expected the process to have hiccups, but found that there were surprisingly few. The staff was enjoyable to work with and they were always willing to go into detail about the the products and its uses. They also provided value-added services, such as free admittance to the farm, wildflowers and herbs, as well as a Christmas tree at the end of the year.
My wife and I have recommended the Charmingfare Farm CSA to many of our friends, and have renewed our subscription for the 2010 season.

WOW! What a summer it was. We had never participated in a CSA before and decided to give it a try since we do our best to buy local or organic for all of our produce anyway. We are a large family, 2 adults and 5 (soon-to-be 6) children so you can imagine how much food we go through. We were amazed at our bounty. Vegetables have never tasted so sweet before. Despite the horrible rain of June, the farm didn't let us down. They did everything they could to make sure we were provided with decent amounts of produce. Considering some of my friends CSA's were completely shut down those first few weeks in June and July we were happy to get whatever they could manage.
Not only was the food delicious, it was in great condition. I have never seen such unblemished produce before. Plus, a number of the items such as peppers, tomatoes, zucchini etc. lasted up to 2 weeks! You don't get that from a grocery store!
One of the best attributes of this particular CSA was the kindness and friendly service the staff provided, (not only to me but to my children as well). I have to admit, there were vegetables in those bins that had never seen the inside of my house. But, with the suggestions of the staff, we tried every single vegetable provided with great satisfaction. I had never had fresh beets, kale, collard greens, or swiss chard before, and I found myself looking forward to picking out some fresh bunches the following week because they were so tasty. The herbs were an awesome touch to any meal we made, and any time we had a question about any part of the program someone was always ready to give us an answer.
I am thrilled to be a full share holder this year, and look forward to whatever the farm has in store for us this year. I can't wait to see all those friendly faces and share some more tasty recipes and cooking suggestion. Thank you for providing this program for the community!

Last year the Charmingfare Farm CSA certainly had it's share of challenges with the extremely wet weather and the loss of so many plants. In spite of it all I would consider the season a success. My family enjoyed going "to the farm" every Wednesday to pick up our fruits and veggies. It was our first experience with a CSA and it was definitely worth it. Every week in addition to the normal farm fare (tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, potaotes, onions, etc.) there was always something that I wouldn't normally buy in the grocery store (like beets, kale, eggplant, fresh herbs, etc.) so it helped us experiment with new things. It certainly made me feel good to know that the food was grown right here in NH. I didn't have to spend a lot of time figuring out what was fresh...I knew that it all was! The people working at the CSA were always super friendly and happy to give suggestions about what to make with items from the latest pick up. So this year I'm hoping that the weather cooperates and we have a wonderful harvest...looking forward to lots of tomatoes and zucchini!
