Like many people, the icing on the cake that definitively changed my mind forever about the way I will eat was reading Michael Pollan's "The Omnivore's Dilemma". A dilemma indeed. So began my search for a good local CSA for produce, a pasture-raised (preferably grass-fed dairy source, and so on and so forth. I did weeks of research in my quest to find the right rancher, and finally decided to try Lazy 69 Ranch. Grass-fed, pastured, stress-free cattle, rotational grazing practices, small & family run, and the list goes on. Not only did I find the right product, but Dan Martin is one of the friendliest, most helpful people I have had the pleasure of purchasing, well, anything from. He seems to truly believe in reaching "beyond organic" and being your Family Ranch, and I'm glad I ultimately went with my gut feeling when trying to decide between farms. The beef and chicken are both fantastic and I've been re-inspired in the kitchen!
Now I just need a bigger freezer. .
