I love having it in the neighborhood. In addition to great food, it gives me a chance to socialize with my neighbors. I also appreciate the variety of the vendors. As for the made-to-order guacamole at the Pepe's vendor...heaven on earth!

Miller Beach Farmers Market should win the $5,000 grand prize because they have fresh, healthy foods at the lowest prices, and they are the only local market within walking distance. I have talked with three seniors in our community that told me how pleased they were to finally be able to shop on their own. They could finally walk to a local market instead of depending on their adult children to drive them some where. The older man said "I'm shopping on my own for the first time in years."
Go Miller Beach Farmers Market! You've got my vote!

It's a great place to grow. Who would have ever expected to learn the Cherokee word for a kernel of corn. SELU-which also means Grandmother Corn Wisdom. I would say that this Market is full of Grandmother's Corn Wisdom.

It is right outside our church and we love the eggs from chickens who have a good life and so give exceptional eggs. Great way to meet your neighbors.

It's a great market! Of course, it has food. It also has sound therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, framed photographs, jewelry, live musical performances, nutritional supplements and more. It is consistently open and the vendors are friendly. The manager, Sandra Rodriguez, continues to advertise the market and maximize its position in the marketplace so it can remain profitable for all concerned.

They have the best of everything! All the vegetables, fruits, arts and crafts are amazing! Also we would like to thank Sandra for brining the farm to us! We met neighbors and others from out of town which is really nice also.

I love having locally-cultivated food and crafts available a short walk or bike ride from our house. Localism is the way America worked before, and it's the way it will work again.

I go to every Miller Beach farmers market. I like it because it features a wide array of products and services. It gives local producers a chance to serve the end user of their goods and get feedback. It also allows us to come together as a community. Some farmers markets are pricey - Miller Beach farmers market is priced fairly and so fresh!

It is a very local market and has fresh vegetables and healthy food. It is still small and has activities for children. It has become a gathering place for the community with lots of enthusiasm from everybody.

I love this market! the vendors are friendly and helpful, the produce is absolutely wonderful and reasonably priced, and the take-away food is fantastic--both Mexican and Middle-Eastern. The added bonuses include free chair massages and acupuncture treatments, plus visiting with friends. A lovely way to spend a Sunday!

Where else can I get delicious duck eggs but at our Farmers Market. At this market we can also get local honey, fresh, delicious produce, jewelry, soaps, candles other scenty things, garden plants, lemonade, pet stuff, freshly roasted coffee, sweet treats, good food from local restaurants, great conversation, camaraderie and a general good vibe. We love our Farmers Market!

I'm a llittle biased because I'm the Market Manager, but this is the little Market that could! The support from the vendors who helped it get started and the community has been so uplifting here in Gary, Indiana!
