Every Saturday morning, we go for a walk through our neighborhood, get a coffee, and stop in at the farmer's market. A community asset such as this (that is University-based) is one of the keys toward the development of a thriving community that brings together residents, the University, and merchants.

This is a friendly market with very affordable products of a nice variety. Honey, maple syrup, local produce, hand crafted soaps and canned goods and more are available there. They also have special events once a month on topics such as gardening, healthy living and local organizations. It's a nice market that the University at Buffalo supports in the neighborhood.

It is a wonderful, eclectic group that is small enough for a disabled person, like myself, to be able to get around and shop. The venders are fantastic, the products are fresh. It is a wonderful asset to our community.

I support the University Community Farmers Market because locally-grown produce can significantly reduce the amount of energy required to grow and transport the food to consumers like myself in this community. Also, the produce is fresh and delicious, and the Farmers Market is a great place to meet and chat with others from my neighborhood!
