It's a great market and growing very fast. So popular that there is a waiting list for vendors to get booth space. The atmosphere is great with the courtyard umbrella tables, cooking demostrations, food, music. It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

We love the atmosphere, the variety, and the old fashioned neighborly impression. Shopping with the knowledge that you are supporting your neighbors and your local economy is a really good feeling.

Our market has been ongoing for years!! The location is perfect and parking is excellent. There is an entire lot for handicapped vehicles. The grounds are a museum and the gardens of the Ball Family mansions. Ball Brothers was the manufacturer of the Ball jar and canning materials, so, they supported "home grown" for generations!!
The products range from locally grown pork products, to honey, to all sorts of vegetables and fruits, and homemade bakery products. There are also hand made soaps and plant starts for sale.
The group provides little red wagons and merchants participate in programs with WIC and senior food programs, that allow expectant and new Moms and the senior citizens a chance at fresh, locally grown produce, eggs, and other products.

I always like going to the farmers market, because the food sold is homegrown. The farmers are kind, hard-working, and diligent. It is very important to support people from your local community, especially in this suffering economy where the small businesses are struggling to thrive.

Minnetrista's Farmer's Market is something I look forward to each year. There is always a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, honey, fresh flowers, meats, cheeses, coffee, baked goods and tons of friendly faces. My family and I like to make a day out of coming to market by visiting the shops, gardens and cultural center. It makes the day extra special. The market is a unique experience and a time to get to know and support people in the community.
