The change in the BVFM in a few short years has been amazing! Not to mention the nonstop smiles provided for FREE by local farmers. It is my favorite place to shop locally and one time they let me wear broccoli on my head. It doesn't get any better than that.

So happy to see BVFM prospering and growing ! The more we shop the more we encourage the local growers to participate. We also encourage the local farming industry to expand into healthful and successful ventures, and in the end, that is GREAT for all of us!

Truly fresh foods because they MUST be produced locally. Quite a variety, too. And the people you meet there (both vendors and customers) are friendly and willing to share info and/or recipes!

It's not just an amazing harvest week after week (all year-round). It's also a wonderful group of people (vendors and customers) that comes together to share in a love of community and good food.

It is such a neat market and in what most people think of as a very conservative area.

I have been to almost every market since winter. Winter was rough, but there were a few die-hard vendors that came no matter what. They brought their veggies, if they had any, their eggs if the chickens gave any, their crafts if they made any, and their canned goods if they could. Back in that season, the roughest weeks saw only one to three vendors. But they were determined to local food so I came and I shopped whatever goods they brought. Last week saw over 30 vendors, many accepting WIC coupons, so many veggies, eggs, honey, crafts, canned goods, soap and baked goods that the parkinglot overflowed with vendors before customers arrived. The president of the board of the farmer's market stopped and chatted for a while...this is becoming quite a powerful force for B-CS and local food.
