Open from 10am to 2Pm Sat. and Sunday, always my go to for healthy fresh farm eggs, Honey, plants, Jams, Chickens, Ducks, Rabbits, and sourdough products! Suzannes varieties of Saurkraut are even better than the ones I experienced while stationed in Germany! Oh Yum, (call ahead to make sure they have them). Always informative and there to assist. Suzanne is fantastic. Super sweet and informative and doesnt try to pressure you to buy anything and is more than happy just to tell you about her garden and even the science behind it all! I've driven out three times and they are never open. All that can be seen from the road is a dirt path into the trees and a blue barrel with a sign that says closed. Very disappointing! I miss real eggs!

I went to this farm & bought 3 chicks 4-6 weeks old. The farm was filthy. The chicks were in a small cage, 2 feet by 18 inches or so located on dirt. There were about 30 or so chicks in that one cage. No water, food, shelter, bedding, etc. It looked like they just rolled the cage over to the next side when the poop became too high on the bottom. There were 2 to 3 hens hatching eggs right in a 2x2 wire cage with no bedding, food or shelter, just water in an old milk jug. I KNEW I should not take any chicks home because of the farm's condition but I needed three so I bought them. The first one I nursed for about a month & it finally died. The second one had been pecked on in the farm crate and never developed a tail until way later than she should of but she is still living. The third one died today and never produced an egg in about 6 months of living in my coop & was always sickly. My local farm store says they were not surprised to hear about my hens. Buy from somewhere else.

I just made a phone call to Andrew to inquire about buying a duck or 2...or 4. I do not know much about ducks but I do know that there are only a handful of farms in the area where I can go to purchase one. I asked if he had ducks and if I could come take a look at them. He said they were White Peking ducks. I asked again if I could come to see them. He answered rudely and said that they were White Peking ducks and if I wanted to buy one then he would make himself available but no I couldn't just come look at them...again, stating they are White Peking ducks. I'm pretty sure I understood they were White Peking ducks. I will not be purchasing my ducks from Andrew. I will also not be attending any of his workshops or tours with my four children. I will not be going on a field trip with my students to this farm...which is a shame, considering we will be gardening a lot during the month of April. I will not be visiting his table at the Wickham Park farmer's market. It is unfortunate that this man has such poor business practice and will lose not only my business from here on out but I will also be sure to let all of my friends and family know about this man and his horribly negative attitude.

Most of the animals are kept in very small cages with water that appears to not have been changed in weeks. The conditions are poor and their farm is full of unorganized trash They buy their eggs from some hatchery in Texas which proves you don't really know where your chickens are coming from. I don't recommend buying hens or any other livestock from here.

I was so excited to find something close by that offered fresh eggs. Unfortunately when I got there all I saw were three small cages, crowded with fully grown chickens in what appears to be a junkyard. They had no room to move and all of their water supplies were filthy and green. The trailer that the eggs were sold out of was in better shape than the chickens and their cages. Granted, their must have been more cages with chickens from which the eggs came from, but I can't get the image of those poor birds and their environments out of my head when I eat those eggs. It was a very poor first impression, and if the living environment for the egg laying hens is better, why put this poor example out front to be the first thing a customer sees when entering the property?

Love this place. I've taken Suzanne's class on building your own grown box which was excellent & not really difficult to do.

They sell quality organic seeds + hens, goats and other livestock.

Suzanne even offers a tie dying class.

Our ducks, goose and chicken all came from the Funky Chicken Farm. The first two ducks we've had for almost 5 years now. Other than looking a touch overweight they are still happy and healthy!! I look forward to taking the children down there this year to pick out a chick for our home/farm. :) It's not just a great selection of wonderful birds it's the experience that goes with it! We love our annual visit!!

My wife and i purchased 6 Rhode Island Red pullets from Andrew on Sunday February 28th. He was full of useful knowledge and really cares about his farm as well as the well being of the animals he sells. We had a delightful time, the chickens are doing great and i would highly recommend "the Funky Chicken Farm" to anyone looking to get some quality birds from quality people.

I apologize for posting a review so late. Our visit to the Funky Chicken Farm was a great experience. Thank you Andrew for showing us your farm and for letting Daniel hold a chick the whole time we were there. My son talked about it the rest of the weekend and sometime in December asked me if we could go back. Also, thank you for being so hospitable and patient. We truly enjoyed it.

We have been getting our chicks from Andrew for years. It's been a wonderful experience for my family, both visiting the farm and raising the chicks. Andrew is a walking encyclopedia of chicken knowledge. He has always done everything he can to help us with our chicks and, if we've had any difficulty, our chickens once they are grown. I didn't know about Susanne, but plan to visit her garden and start a box asap. We couldn't be happier with the service that these folks provide to our community.

I went by the farm today (called first, always!) and picked up some eggs, honey and Tye-dyed yoga shorts! It's always a pleasure to go there and be able to get farm fresh things and to walk around and look at all the wonderful animals and plants there! Thank you Suzanne and Andrew!!

I took both the Growbox and Worm Composting Workshops from Suzanne today. She teaches like she lives -- both with intelligent efficiency and an organic joy.

I came away understanding what I needed to begin building an organic garden to plant this fall. I have dubbed her my unofficial "garden guru"! Her "Growbox" is a simple genius set up she has clearly perfected over time and the only way to grow stuff other than trees products in Florida.

There is nothing that can substitute for learning by doing and after a tour of their farm, it is plain both Suzanne and Andrew are paying attention while tending to their flourishing flocks and their abundant garden. They walk the walk and in that regard, there is no better source from which to learn.

I wholeheartedly recommend both workshops to anyone considered growing their own vegetables.

I have been coming to visit Andrew and Suzanne at Funky Chicken Farm for more than a year now, and each time I visit I learn something new from them. They have wealth of knowledge that they love to share. Besides the very healthy chicks, geese and ducks my friends and I have stocked our own supply with, Suzanne has taught us how to do container gardening and worm harvesting. With Andrew's knowledge that he has so eagerly shared with me and my friends, we have built our own safe habitats for our poultry supply. In this very troubling economic time period of our lives it is so encouraging to come back to the basics of life and see the things we can do ourselves to make a difference, and that is what Andrew and Suzanne will show you! If you get a chance, stop in to see them, you will be so glad you did.

I went out today for the open house. It was amazing! They had so much to look at including worm boxes, chickens, gardens, honey, mushroom gardens, and much much more. Andrew and Suzanne were so nice and super informative. She also does tye-dye and had some beautiful shirts and dresses - all all reasonably priced. I'm going back for a few workshops and I'm bringing everyone I know. They taught us about sustainability, which during this time of economic turmoil is very important. If you get a chance you should definitely stop by and at least see the place. They also recommended this website or else I would have probally never known! Thanks for reading.
