Because it brings the downtown Buffalo community together. Everyone on Elmwood looks forward to Saturday mornings for fresh vegetables, information about local events and organizations, and the chance to catch up with neighbors, colleagues and friends!

FEFM helps us come together as a community in a cohesive fashion. In addition, the choice of foods and quality is significantly higher than from other sources. Therefore, the market is a local treasure that should be guaranteed.

Because the farmers who display must have grown what they bring or made the products, such as maple syrup. And their offerings are organic for the most part.

It's local, convenient, and fun! I like talking to the farmers directly, to find out exactly how my food is grown.

Really homey. Everything is either home made or home grown. Lots of folks strolling on the grassy mall. Relaxed.
Maple Syrup. Honey. Veggies. Fruit in season. Pastured meat. Some organic and some not. You can ask the farmer!

The Elmwood/Bidewell market is innovative, has local music, environmentally responsive, provides a great place to hang out and meet people with their dogs out for a stroll, and is right in the middle of a pleasant park-like setting on the Elmwood Strip with lots of creative and independently owned local businesses surrounding it.
