Castine Farmers Market has a wonderful group of local farmers & other organic product producers, fantastic fare including magnificent artisan breads, eggs "to die for" (no resemblence to any egg ever found anywhere else), friendly & helpful people, and even a "hair sheep" to pet for the kids. It's become a Castine gathering place every Thurs morning.

I love that while Castine has no full-fledged grocery store I have a regular way to buy fresh vegetables and support local farmers.

It's a great little farmer's market with fresh produce, cheese, meat, and more, all from within a 25 mile radius -- supports our local farmers, helps decrease our carbon footprint, and gets us terrific food and excellent crafts.
