I buy 70% of my fresh produce from the Van Dyke farm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is an educational experience on produce every time I go to Floyd Lambs farmers market. I have tried so many new and delicious produce from the Van Dyke farm, it incredible. Unlike most grocery stores, this staff knows so much about their produce, always offering a sample taste! They also have great honey.

I notice mushrooms is one of the vegetables checked for spring and fall on this site. But, I have never seen them This is my 4th year attending and I have never seen mushrooms at the Floyd Lambs farmers market. When I want something other than Portobello mushrooms, I have to go to Spring Preserve??s on Thursdays. Have not gone to Bruce Trent in over a year, do any farmers sell mushrooms at that location?

We love mushrooms too. Occasionly we have had them in the past. We had someone that used kits to grow them, but they couldn't keep up with the volume. They need to be certified by ag dept. Too, they don't certify wild harvest. I know someone who can get them for you but you would be required to purchase prior, to order. They are very perishable need to be picked up.

It brings farm-fresh, local produce down into the heart of the city so those of us who can't really trek all the way to the outskirts of town can have this great experience.

I love the fact that they bring their wares down to the heart of town. Most of the other FM's are quite out of reach for the common folks without transportation.
