Because it is a "growers market"; you can only sell what you go & it must be grown w/in 50 miles of Ashland.

Great local fruits, vegetables, cut flowers and plants! Beautiful old railroad town! You can get a cup of coffee from Ashland Coffee & Tea and walk across the street to the market! Terrific place to introduce kids to the actual growers of their snacks/meals.

You find the freshest produce and the kindest people at this market. I just love it.

The market committee amended the rules in 2010 so that all goods must come from within 30 miles of the market.
