Nothing beats a Saturday morning breakfast of eggs from Adcote Acres. Add some Sugar Magnolia rolls, tomatoes that actually smell like tomatoes, and fresh basil picked that morning and you've got food heaven.

It brings me back to the days of my childhood. When my grandparents grew what they ate and the grandkids helped. I think my local Farmers Market gives people a chance to go back in time and remember how things once were. Not to mention with the economy the way it is; it gives small town farmers the chance to earn some extra money. You can never go wrong with fresh fruits and vegetables straight from the field to your home.

It is bringing our community together closer to eachother. Also, the famers bringing their produce to people who otherwise would not be able to go there or buy it is wonderful. Everyone is helping. So many new people that have moved to the area find connectedness by meeting the locals at the market. It has been wonderful chatting, browsing and buying. Love it.

The farmers market is a great place to buy fresh produce, organic eggs, and beautiful flowers at reasonable prices. Home made baked goods, honey, perserves, etc. are also available for purchase. Sometimes area churches cook up barbequed chickens and sell them as a charity fund-raiser. Several local artisans also sell their products at unbeatable prices. The sponsors of our market also do the little extra things to make it a fun and entertaining event. There is a cafe area with tables and umbrellas and sometimes there is entertainment provided. This past Saturday, our community orchestra performed. playing many patriotic selections to celebrate July 4th. We usually go as a family to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere to to meet up with friends and acquaintances.

I've made new contacts in the community and met some talented crafters. There's something for everyone, and it's a great place to entertain visitors from other cities, too!

The Main Street Farmers Market is one of those classic community markets where local farmers and vendors sell their products. Local and even some people from outside the area converge on the market centrally located in this beautiful southern college town. It is quickly becoming a weekly Saturday morning tradition for families and college students looking for great deals on great locally-grown vegetables!
