Like many in Columbus, my garden does not grow in the winter, so we signed up for the weekly winter food bag from the Greener Grocer. Every week I get excited, like a kid at Christmas, because I get this great bag of healthy local food that I do not know what is in it. I have learned to cook new dishes, because I have gotten veggies I never ate before, and have loved them. This is a very very good deal for the money. I am never disappointed with the food I get from the Greener Grocer. Every week I also pick up a half gallon of Snowville Creamery Milk and a dozen eggs. It is a great place to get what my family needs.

@ the Greener Grocer, not only do they provide a platform for local farmers to sell their produce, they also offer CSA bags in different sizes for different budgets, they also deliver them to places to make it more efficient for pick up. The products are great and they always provide recipes for the products in the bag. This is actually the for profit arm of a non-profit called Local Matters which has the mission to make sure that they provide locally sustainable food in an affordable way as well as teaching nutrition and food ecology among other things.
