Good local produce plus other handcrafted items. Located in the center of downtown Lakeland where I like to browse the antique shops and boutiques. Also, has lots of good restaurants downtown if you want to shop and then eat.

Lakeland Farmer's Market offers a diversity of seasonal organic products in a warm and friendly atmosphere - the products stay fresher MUCH longer [ now I know how old the products are when I have to buy from the grocery store ! ] and are alive w/ good nutrition and flavor - the freshness of the flavors in the vegetables & fruits reminds me of my childhood eating products from the farm and my younger adult years of eating from my own organic gardens - ah-h-h-h !!

I think the Lakeland Downtown Farmers Curb Market is something Lakeland has needed for a long time. It is so much more upscale than any of the other famer's markets in the area!

I support the market for the variety of fresh produce and quality. My produce stays fresher than what I purchase from my local health food store. I send a message to the growers, that I support your efforts and please continue to grow.

Great produce ! Scotty's broccoli would make a broccoli lover of former Pres. George Bush (41) All the veggies are top quality, and the hydropnic lettuce is to be experienced.

I love knowing I am supporting local businesses- it is a joy to go every Saturday and see friends, buy wonderful products and get out to enjoy the beautiful sunshine. I bring newbies with me or meet them there and I take them around to each vendor. I love my wax tarts from the candle/soap vendors- the fresh produce- and I love the BREAD MAN!!! the $2.00- 3ft long Italian bread is a weekly staple at our house!! lol

I love being able to get local, organically grown food. (Much less travel time than to some organic stores) I have also found great local plants(we're new to Florida) and goat's milk soap. There are terrific artists, leather works and usually some suprises(one week spices, the next week coffee and teas). Added together, a trip to the Lakeland Farmer's market becomes an outing that I can enjoy about on many levels. Love my market!! Olivia

I need my farmers market because the farmers are in my community and support my community. They provide me with organic produce that nourishes rather than destroys my health and well being.

It is across the street from my office. I love walking there on Wednesdays. I always buy fresh vegetables to cook that night. It saves me a trip to the grocery store... and I'd rather buy direct and support local growers.

I just moved to Miami and I am going to miss the Lakeland Downtown Farmers Market SO MUCH, especially the hydroponically-grown lettuce. Also the plant guy, and the opportunity to pick up fresh vegetables for the week. I miss the cheese folk.

As an organic vegetable and edible plant vendor I really love this market! Folks--vendors and customers--are friendly and willing to try new and exotic vegetables. The customers are great; many of them visit multiple vendors every week and have grown to be friends as well as local economy supporters. We all try to do as much of our shopping as possible at the Lakeland Downtown Farmers' Curb Market.

With the manipulations of our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing by large scale forces it is becoming clear that we need support local growers and merchants. We need to get to know each other and build bonds of trust and systems (commerce especially) of support. Lakeland Market has good food and good people... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BMI9C672xQ

I support this congenial place filled with friends with (mostly) deliciously, locally grown organics to both tempt my tastebuds and honor my kitchen skills whether I am preparing cooked or raw foods, all well within the budgetary requirements of this old fart! Sometimes I even sit in with a pal to vend my own little neem trees. Because of this market I can now eat better and cheaper. Thanks for asking!!!

i wish i could go more often !! unfortunately i live quite a distance away that makes it prohibitive to come every week . but i have bough nice honey from a homeschool family and nice organice veggies + plants . the admosphere reminds me of the open aire markets back home in germany . besides all this , i believe its important to support your local independent small farmers !

We went today! We bought veggies, and some bananas and apples. The farmer's market is downtown Lakeland, next to Munn Park. Last week we bought two bottles of expensive flavored olive oil.
