The farmers are great. Full of information and excellent produce. They have a wonderful selection of other itmes, cheese, meat, honey. The site manager runs a tight ship. The ability to have a local non-for profit food insecurity progam at the market is wonderful,

Because it has such variety and everyone has wonderful samples to try. The food & vegetables are so fresh and reasonably priced. Diane Reeder that runs it is the best and had so much knowledge to share !

I love the variety of products - the freshness - the opportunity to support our local farmers and businesspeople - and the fun of chance meetings with friends. And our farmer's market is located in such a pretty part of old Kingston. We are lucky to have this resource!

The farmers are fun, knowledgeable and take such great pride in the products they raise and sell. The feeling is contagious! The farmers in Kingston's Farmers' Market display the true meaning of NY agriculture's slogan "The pride is inside".

I believe in supporting our local farmers and businesses, and LOVE being able to buy local products, and produce that is picked at the right time, which is SO much more nutritious than ANY product shipped from out of state which is harvested before its optimal pick time...resulting in decreased nutrients. And, if I can find local AND organic, that is the BEST. Plus I have to admit, it is a social outing for me.

We have great local food, I love to talk to the farmers because they are always informative and happy to talk to me. I've seen some really, big fancy farmers markets, but this one is growing nicely.

Participants are very friendly, support the local community, and offer locally grown crops, herbs, flowers(so pretty), breads, coffee, pastries, fruit and the local shops assist too. Every so often we a vendor that sells handmade soaps(so nice for your skin) - I'm hoping the soap maker returns this year. You'll be able to find both organic and modern day fare here in Kingston and be sure to buy NY State Apples to munch on the way home or for a healthy snack.

Ditto re: the soap maker, Lorna! I miss her, too. When she is there, I stockpile her soaps. Lovely scents and textures for a wide variety of skin types and purposes. Come back, Lorna!
