I enjoy meeting other farmers and getting fresh produce. I have also tried some new vegetables and recipe ideas. I am a vendor also and it has helped us to sell our plants since our greenhouse traffic has slowed down. It's an all around great opportunity for our community. Hope to see it continue to grow and succeed!

I am very excited that we have a farmers market in Mountain City. The variety of produce and the quality is excellent. It is a great place to spend a Saturday morning, pick up some top notch produce, high quality crafts, and help the local farmers and economy.

They are great people, and they try to supply the needs and wants of the community. It is quite a distance to go to other markets. Its great to have one here at home.

The Johnson County Farmers Market is a local, healthy alternative to grocery store produce that may have been havested many days or even a week or more earlier and have lost there freshness and vitamin potency.

My husband and I have a small farm and we raise chickens, cows and horses. We are currently growing our own field corn for our animals. I think the farmers market is a wonderful place for the local farmers to be able to sell their fresh vegetables and homemade items. I think it is great that Mountain City now has one.

We are a small comunity and have to travel several miles to go to farmers markets. So many people love to go to farmers markets and take advantage of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as other home made items and crafts.. We would be very accessible to other local areas without traveling 50 to 60 miles. Thee are many small communities close to ours that would also benefit by this market, as well as helping our local producers market their items. I would love to see this become as icon of our county.

Johnson County has a rich history of local agriculture. Over the years, new people moving in and changing economical times have threatened to divide this community into many poor factions. Our new Farmer's Market has done more to bring all people together under the common goal of establishing a local food system more than anything else. God Bless Johnson County's Farmers Market NE TN!

Jo Co Farmer's Market is a fun shopping outing to get the freshest produce and local made crafts. I was totally pleased with the selections ... from local ground flour to artisan cabin furniture.
Best Swiss Chard I ever ate came from this market and it was organically grown! I could rant on about the veggies but the friendliness of the vendors is why I'll be returning often. Hey, that's where I got the delicious Swiss Chard recipe!
The produce manager at the Mountain City, TN chain grocery store will not see my face until this Market closes for the season. Maybe not even then ...since I plan on canning produce as it comes in season and is available in greater supply.
Thanks for all the hard work community folks put into getting the Johnson County Farmer's Market up and running.

THE FARMER'S MARKET HAS BEEN NEEDED FOR MANY YEAR'S IN JOHNSON COUNTY TN. NOT ONLY FOR THE LOCAL FARMER'S BUT FOR THE LOCAL RESIDENT'S. TODAY IS THE THIRD SATURDAY FOR THE FARMER'S MARKET AND IT SEEN'S TO BE DOING WELL. THE $5,000.00 WOULD BE A GREAT BOOST TOWARD'S IT'S SUCCESS. THE JOHSON COUNTY FARMER'S MARKET'S BOARD ARE VERY ENERGENIC TOWARD'S MAKING THIS MARKET A BIG SUCCESS. IT ALSO GIVE THE LOCAL RESIDENT'S AN OPORTUNITY TO BUY FRESH LOCAL PRODUCE AT A RESONABLE PRICE.
