The Leavenworth Community Farmers Market is already a great example of a healthy farmer's market. Plenty of options from plenty of vendors, music all evening, an excited and involved community scene. This market has it all. Can't wait for it to start up again in 2010!

I look forward to every farmers market - for the opportunity to get so much fresh food and to see all the kids having so much fun dancing, hula-hooping, and running around. What a great place to reunite with our friends and neighbors.

The market offers lots of locally grown foods at a convenient time and location and makes it easy for me to support my community.

Not only is this a great farmers market but a weekly gathering for the local community complete with good music.

Our community needs more of this sort of thing. We are a tourist town and it is nice to see a few events that bring the local community together on a regular basis.

There is nothing better than fresh fruits and vegetables and no location for growing them any better than Leavenworth.

My husband and I helped build "new & improved" vegetable beds for our daughter's backyard garden this past May. She and a group from Leavenworth started up the Community Farmer's Market just this year and they are already selling local produce. Our son, who also lives in Leavenworth, is involved in making a web site for them. Both are extremely interested in sustainability and "living green". I love it that they act on what they believe in and I couldn't be happier voting for their project!
