I have been with Porter Farms since the very first year. The prices are reasonable, the value is good, the vegetables are good and the staff/family very friendly. I joined because I wanted an inexpensive source for organic food for my child. Through all the years, Porter Farms has always delivered great food at very reasonable prices.
I am so pleased to see that the CSA has grown from it original 80 something members. The reason for that is clear to me -- it's a great program!

Some of the finest produce (and people) in WNY!!! Porter Farms' certified organic CSA is a great program to be part of -- their weekly shares are diverse and packed with produce, they have opportunities to volunteer and be part of the community, and fun events to round out the growing season!

We have been CSA members of Porter Farms for over 5 years now! We cannot say enough about how awesome it is! There is nothing like getting your fresh bag of organic veggies (and some fruit) every Saturday! The bags are overflowing with healthy goodness. The best part is, each week you don't know what your bag will contain until the farm evaluates the crop on Thursday! It's like a surprise package of goodies! It also forces you to be an adventurous cook! For example, I would have never touched Leeks or Kohlrabi in the grocery store. Now, I can't wait to get Leeks to make Potato Leek soup!!!!

We've been members of Porter Farms CSA for several years and always been pleased with the quality and the quantity of the vegetables offered. When was the last time you heard the spinach SNAP when you prepared it? Ir is all so fresh and delicious, it makes cooking a breeze. There are helpful recipes posted and great hints about how to store/preserve the crops. This place is a winner!

I have been with them for four seasons, and will be returning for number 5. They are a family owned and operated organic farm located in Elba. The price is extremely reasonable for the amount of vegetables you receive. They have a large variety of vegetables and have started planting a variety of fruit trees. When in season, you receive melons and watermelons as well, our favorite being the yellow watermelon. If you can't pick up at the farm they have many locations between Rochester and Buffalo to pick up from. If you pick up at the farm, if they have left overs after the share bags are packed, they put them out and you may take extra.
They also have available for purchase other products from organic producers in the area. ( eggs, honey, chicken, alpaca products).
If you live in the area, you can volunteer to pack bags on Sat. mornings. I have done the last couple of years and have enjoyed becoming a small part of the Porter Family.
