The Friday Farmers Market is more like an event than a market and is just one more way Uncommon Ground has found to support local growers and the environment. We are lucky to have them in Chicago!

diverse selection of quality vendors, this is as much a destination as a market.

An organic garden is RIGHT THERE on the rooftop! Uncommon Ground is walking the talk. Great fun-filled atmosphere with live music on a Friday afternoon. Terrific produce available.

Edgewater, the best community in the city! Great music (honky tonk happy hour 6-8pm) , organic spirits tasting tables, FREE tours of the country's first certified organic roof top farm, Goose Island Brewery tasting table, slow food, Harvest Moon Organic Farm, the Bark Bark Club, etc.. etc...
This is a farmer's market/ party every Friday evening from 4-8pm.
Then, you can stick around for the Friday night fish fry for dinner while
eating outside!

The produce at these markets is incredible, fresh, and from friendly farmers who care about their work. Additionally, the presence of community groups and artisan crafts connect me to my neighborhood and the creativity within it.

I love Uncommon Ground. They have taken every step and made every effort to continually keep organic products accessible to the public. Their restaurant is quite tastey also. My favorite place to me on a Friday !

This is a great way to end the week and start the weekend. Farmer Friday offers fresh Organic produce and a changing array of local foods, art, fair trade goods, community organizations, with beer and drink sampling while the honkey tonk music plays--and you can even hang out on the rooftop farm!

Besides being sponsored by an innovative restaurant, this small farmer's market brings together many local vendors and fosters a great sense of community.
