The biggest farmers market I know of in our area. I have been shopping there all this year and am constantly surprised by the diverse offerings everything from grass raised meat, fish, cheese, olive oil, organic wine, seasonal vegetables and fruits, flowers, baked goods, plants, rice, nuts, dried fruits. You name it, its there. Such a wonderful atmosphere and my 14 month old daughter loves it as do lots of other families it seems.

Supporting the Sacramento Farmers Market is supporting your local farmers, which directly benefits our local economy, our health, our environment, which is our community as a whole.

Huge market with amazing selection including organic produce, fresh seafood, many small farms from many different cultures making our market a very international one and encourages people to try new things and discover commonalities through food and recipes. Many stands have boxes of seconds that one can buy for even cheaper than the regular reduced prices if one wants to make large quantities for freezing or canning. We also usually get musicians playing and people who bake wonderful home made goods to help make ends meet. It's a colorful, positive environment and we've been going for 27 years and always brought our kids with us so they would appreciate not only our own home garden but others who farm or garden as well.

This market includes fresh seafood, locally grown meats and locally made cheese, in addition to an abundance of produce, plants, herbs, flowers, nuts and more. Several Asian varieties of produce are also available. More and more people frequent this market weekly as they learn how important it is to support local. A wonderfully diverse market and great place to meet and catch up with friends all year long!

I support my farmer's markets because the food is better, has less pesticides, is fresher, the vendors are great, and I work atd three farmer's markets in Sacramento every week. It's all about the environment and healthy eating. I could go on and on.

We love the Sacramento Farmers Market because we live in an agricultural area and we love to buy directly from growers.

I hardly need to stop at the traditional grocery store any more. I can get my eggs, nuts, cheese, olive oil, meat, plants, popcorn, honey, jam, rice, beans, fish, wine, and even almond butter right at the market. Oh--and I didn't even mention the fruits and veggies! Everything tastes fresher. I bump into friends. The farmers give me pointers for my own garden. Plus, it makes me feel good knowing exactly where my dollars are going and being able to hear stories of how the food ended up in the bin in front of me. It's about quality of life. LOVE my farmers market! Now, what do we need to do to get a permanent one started in town??

Why buy produce that has to be shipped when we have such wonderful produce available locally? Going to the Sunday market is our weekly ritual.

It is open year round, and I purchase most of my food there. Bledsoe Pork is my favorite vendor - his bacon is out of this world, because his animals are grass fed, allowed to roam, and aren't given growth hormones or antibiotics. Just great natural meat.

I can do virtually all my shopping from local and organic or no-spray vendors within walking distance of my house. And even when I don't have much to buy, I like to go to people-watch.

It's the best farmers market I've ever been to -- huge selection (including flowers, fish, meats, eggs, cheese, bread, other products AND tons of produce), great prices, and many thousands of people attend every Sunday. Just an awesome market.

We love to shop at Farmer's Markets because their food is dependable, beautiful, flavorful, so fresh and at a reasonable price. It's fun to shop outdoors in the sun, meet new people, and share recipes straight from the farmers themselves. California has all the best flavors and choices of fruits, vegetables and herbs, and lovely flowers, too, all locally grown; and the best part of all is my family supports those local farmers with small businesses so we can depend on the best year after year.

Nothing beats the flavor of farm fresh produce! Farmers' Markets inspire people to be creative in the kitchen and actually experience their food. Great place to educate kids too.

Beautiful produce, lots of variety, good prices. Pork, honey, olive oil, mustards, flowers and trees too. Much more as well. Lovely people and it is protected from the weather, under a freeway. We love to go there and buy and then go to brunch at a nearby eatery. Eileen
