I have lived in Castro Valley for almost 10 years now and I have enjoyed Farmer's Markets throughout the state of California for my entire life. Castro Valley is in my top five best places to go.

The Farmer's Market is not large compared to many others, but it packs a lot of fresh locally farmed produce, booths filled with local arts and crafts, not to mention live music every week. You don't have pushy people trying to hand out fliers. Families can take their time with their kids and dogs exploring a wide selection of merchandise. I love the opportunities to try organic butter and cheese, buying heirloom vegetables and sampling just about everything. As I mentioned, the Castro Valley Farmer's Market may not be big - but it is mighty good. Come out and enjoy the fun!
