When I was a little girl my parents made blackberry jam in our kitchen and sold it at the farmers market, it helped make ends meet. Supporting our local farmers and artisans is important to our little islands economic and social wellbeing. I love that I can buy unique gifts and healthy organic food for my family, as well as see a few of my friends on a sunny saturday afternoon!

Because i have family on the island i want to see them well nourished by healthy organic greens and other wholesome produce. I support local markets as often as i can.

Living on the island,in my pastm the island market was always welcoming, helpful and all great food and selections, i loved the warmth of the employees, definetly my favourite market

The Orcas Island Farmers Market has a long tradition of providing locals with the best, fresh produce from the Pacific Northwest. This market allows organic food to be readily availble 3 seasons of the year.

While our market may not be the biggest in size, it is surely one of the biggest in heart. The farmers create irresistibly beautiful displays of just-picked flowers and abundant varieties of vegetables and fruits. Each year they manage to extend their season slightly to accommodate our eagerness for locally grown products. Fresh meat, smoked fish, sauces, locally roasted coffee, and many other wonderful things round out the offerings. Our farmer's market is the hub of our fair season community, and we are grateful to them for their hard work and great results.

Hard-working farmers and craftspeople with their delectable foods and attractive wares have made the Farmers Markets---Saturdays and other days of the week--- a deep pleasure to attend and to shop at.

Being a former (13 year) member of the community, I still go to the Orcas Island Farmers Market every chance I get. I trust the growers and their products.

They are a wonderful group of hard working and dedicated farmers and crafters. Sharing the fruits of their labor year after year. I am so thankful to them all.

A great group of Islanders sell their produce and wares while we lucky buyers benefit from their efforts as well as the opportunity to talk, laugh and admire with them and other buyers!
