The Bartlesville Farmers Market not only has exceptional produce, but a warm welcoming atmosphere. It is a great place to spend a Saturday morning.

The BAFM is very well managed, offers fresh high quality produce and poultry products, and the volunteers and vendors are super!

My daughter lives in Bartlesville and participates at the Farmers Market regularly. The products sold there are exceptional and a tribute to the folks who provide them.

I am a resident of Bartlesville, OK, and I participate as both a vendor and a customer at the Bartlesville Area Farmer's Market. I'll try to be atypically short in my comments. This Market absolutely deserves a $5,000.00 award because THEY CARE!! The group of individuals who initiated the BAFM are small in number, the existence of the market is so very short (2009 is second "official" year, I believe, but please confirm.) and EVERY single individual who supports the Market does so for, in my opinion, the absolute right reasons! Simply: They want to provide all-natural, Oklahoma Grown, healthy products for our community members and they want to do so in a way that inspires citizens to understand the true value of traditional, farm-fresh food, the EXTREMELY IMPORTANT issue of buying from locl businesses during such difficult economic times, and providing education and support regarding the importance of community sustainability. I'm proud of the Market's efforts; proud to buy products there; proud of the EXTRAORDINARY hard work that their all-volunteer staff does! This is really want you want to hear. Board of Directors for the Bartlesville Area Farmer's Market will take every last cent of a grant that is awarded to them and use it wisely and for all of the right reasons. I respectfully ask that you offer the BAFM the $5,000.00 grant money to obviously be used as their Board deems appropriate, but with my solemn word that I know without question taht you would be hard-pressed to find another Market who would accomplish any more, probably no-where close to, what the BAFM will if you select them. Thank you for your review of my thoughts. Sincerely, Denise M. Erhardt Bartlesville, OK

The Bartlesville Area Farmer's Market is the best kept--not so secret any longer--in Washington County.

The venue for the market is a beautiful park and the management does a tremendous job of providing music and other entertainment to augment the wonderful offering of locally grown and produced products.

The vendors I've worked with are warm and friendly, and the Market volunteers are amazing. You can see how much they appreciate that you are there, and when you leave with such great produce, eggs, baked goods, herbs, etc., you're very happy that you were there as well!

I am both a vendor and a customer, and I'm proud to recommend that those of you who are producing Oklahoma- grown food products join in....the Market by-laws make it very easy even if you are starting off as a small venture!

If you're a shopper, give the market a try. If you "Buy Fresh, Buy Local" you can't go wrong!

Whether I'm shopping or selling, I hope to see you there!
