The farmers market is a very good fit for our downtown square. It is a win/win for bringing people to the downtown to both sell and buy good quality home grown produce and products.

As a store owner on the courthouse square, I love the hustle and bustle of all the friendly people visiting and working at our Farmer's Market. For 4 short hours every Saturday morning, there's an atmosphere of small town and local farmer appreciation like no other time in our work week. It is wonderful to stand back and admire it and it makes me proud to be a part of the Danville Square. Come and see!!!

It is a wonderful way for the Chamber and the local farmers and others to work together to promote local growing and promote the farmers products. If you don't get there early you may not get what you want.

I can buy local, organic produce that tastes fabulous! Even my son looks forward to finding vegetable to munch on. We usually make it a family event as we walk around the historic town square and no one complains about getting up early.

Local gardeners are producing better tasting, equally priced, food than grocery stores are offering.

Nice people and great produce and other items you can't find everywhere. The quality is tops and the taste is SO much better than the grocery. Supporting local food is very important. You don't have to worry about food scares here.

Consistently the best available strawberrys--they sell out early. And the pies, well, let me just say you get what you pay for--amazing!

Local growers bring fresh produce 5 blocks from my home. They grow the items I don't! I look forward to their smiling faces on Saturday morning.

It's awesome to have fresh produce right out your back door without growing it yourself. For thos of us that don't have the space it's a Godsend!

I love getting up on Saturdays and walking down with my 2 girls and picking out fresh local produce. Always lots of friendly people around to chat with. Nothing tastes better than fresh picked produce. Sometimes we will even buy our breakfast there.

I look forward to Saturday morning to see what is available at the market. The produce is so fresh and the taste is so much better than from the store. I also like to availability of other items such as the honey, herbs and home made items. And, of course, I cannot forget to mention the scooter pies!

It is such a friendly place to visit on a Saturday morning. I know I will be greeted with a variety of fresh food items, as well as lots of smiles. Plus, their location on an old town square, next to the courthouse, is so quaint. I enjoy getting a cup of coffee at a little cafe on the square, visiting with the farmers while gathering my goods, and then meandering in and out of the cute little shops on the square. A visit to this market feels like a step back in time.

It just makes our small town atmosphere even better. Nothing better then going to the "local market" to get fresh produce rather then buying from a supermarket where you don't know how it been grown. It's a way of giving back to our local farmers!
