Folks, this is truly a destination restaurant.

We recently moved from So Cal to Pleasant Valley so we could grow our own protein and carbs. We enjoy fresh foods made well and thought we had experienced some good restaurants in So Cal and other areas we visit.

We decided to visit Bocconato when some friends from Redondo Beach came up to look at moving to this area. When the four of us got to the restaurant it was a little suprising. The owners son, Orion, came to the table with a wine list but no menu. Orion said we do things a little different here and proceeded to explain what would transpire.

We opted to do the whole experience so we could get a good feel of the place. I'm not going to go into the details of the dishes as one of our friends said he was going to put a review on another site, so google the restaurant and read his review on a "trip"site. What I will tell you is that as each dish was brought out we only gave a cursory visual ah! so we could experience the tastes and textures the chef had created that day and they all were incrediblely delicious.

Make it a point to visit Bocconato when you are wine tasting or visiting El Dorado county; you will not regret it.
