It is a very friendly and well organized market. Everyone is polite and eager to help. It is close, and is all year round. I love the choices as well. Everything and anything you could imagine.

Market has gone downhill in the last 10 years. It used to be nice little local farmers putting organic products out for sale at reasonable prices. Now every other table is junk, made in china plastic and the prices are higher then the local Wal-Mart. The owner of the market is a scam artist and tables go to anyone as long has they pay him his high daily fee, thus causing it to become more like a yard sale in a bad neighborhood. If people knew how they got their veggies up there at the market, they would never let their dog eat from the market. Trains go into ship yards in Philly with product intended for major real grocery markets. These markets take first pick and take what they want and anything left over that is spoiled or bruised is left behind for the vendors (vultures) to pick through and resale up at the market. What a shame!!! The old days of "Farmers Markets" has since been replaced by tables of old great Margarets belongings after she passed away. Buy "AS IS" and "AT YOUR OWN RISK"

THEY HAVE AN ABUNDANCE OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES. YOU NEVER LEAVE EMPTY HANDED. THE PRICES ARE AFFORDABLE. THERE ARE OTHER VENDORS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR TRINKETS, PURSES, JEWELRY AND ETC. THERE IS JUST ENOUGH TO KEEP EVERYONE HAPPY.

I go to the Hometown Market because I can get fresh produce and fruits all year round. Most of the farmers have basket prices and also for large quanity pricing.Around Sept I will usually buy a 50 pound bag of potatoes for the fall and they will keep till about January. Its fun to go to the hometown market.

I support the Hometown Farmers Market because it's a great way to shop! Not only are the foods locally grown, but they're delicious and cheaper than chain grocery stores. I feel good about what I eat.

This market has everything to please nearly everyone. From fresh meat, produce and eggs to crafts and flea market goods. The market is good sized with both indoor and outdoor booths, the regular vendors have their regular spots, others set up where space allows.

There is a wonderful variety of produce and the vendors have all been very accommodating; willing to special order (in the case of the fish monger), hold merchandise and negotiate on prices. The location is easy to find; parking is a bit dicey depending on how nice the weather is (but free and close to the building), however they are ONLY open on Wednesdays.

I have been shopping at Hometown several times over the past six months and have been happy with both my purchases and my interactions with the vendors and other customers. Although I will warn that some customers may be turned off by the 'flea market' aspect of some of the vendors and the abundance of 'knock off' designer purses for sale there. But personally I like the small town feel of the market and I adore the homemade perogies and haluski that tend to be sold out by noon.
