Not only the most affordable, delicious, fresh produce available...along with the most amazing granola I have ever tasted....the atmosphere is fun with music and positive, enthusiastic, and upbeat vendors who are warming and welcoming to answer questions and offer advice!

The growers market has many different vendors that allow you to do your weekly produce shopping. Even though I have not made it there as frequently as I would like, I find that the products are of high quality, and the sellers genuinely care about selling the best they have.

WCGM provides a wonderful variety of produce and other healthy, back to nature products. With the meats, cheese, eggs and produce, I can do almost all of my food shopping in one place. Since I am not inclined to grow my own garden, I greatly appreciate all the hard work they do to provide healthy and nutritious food for my family.

The food is very good, the people are all friendly, it's produced locally, and it's all fresh as can be. We grew to love local markets when we visited in Europe and are very happy to see (and support) comparable local growers markets.

What a lovely summer ritual. Locally grown food just tastes so much better! We enjoy meeting our neighbors and talking to the growers. Everyone is passionate about eating wholesome and delicious food. We especially love NorthStar farms and Lindenhof meats!

I've been shopping at West Chester Growers Market since it began. I've been to other markets (Lancaster, Roots, Green Dragon, Reading Terminal). None compare with the friendliness and caring of the vendors at West Chester. They watch out for each other and for the friends they've made in the community. They bring us the greatest selection of foods that make it possible to eat local for about 9 months of the year. Their opening in May is anticipated all winter. They charge a fair price and help educate us about the products they supply. Great people, great food, great friendships. Saturday mornings make the week.

There are a number of reasons that our market is a favorite in our household! For the past two summers (since we discovered this 15-year-old market), we've been purchasing fantastic fresh and local produce there. This year, we've also been getting fresh and local meat! We've managed to almost completely replace our produce and proteins that we used to purchase at a grocery store with much tastier and more healthful foods from the West Chester Growers Market! One of our favorite things about the market (aside from the yummy local food) is that it's truly a family environment. Pets and children are welcomed whole-heartedly, including our ferrets, who accompany us almost every week! We've made a lot of new "market friends" whom we look forward to seeing each week. The location is also incredible, just a block away from the heart of downtown West Chester, which allows us to make a whole morning of the entire market-going experience - eating breakfast at a local restaurant, or just taking a walk through town after we've made our purchases. We don't have to worry about our food if we do take a walk, because the West Chester Growers Market also sells insulated reusable shopping bags! We really love it, and look forward to going every week!

The WCGM is a great place to spend a Saturday morning because the vendors are so varied- you can get meat, fruits and veggies, soap, wine, salsa, plants, cut flowers, cheese, etc.! There's not too much overlap and it's also just a great place to meet like-minded dogs and people.

Because I love spending my Saturday mornings there with the strollers and dogs and neighbors and friends. The variety of things that are offered is wonderful; from the goat cheese to the honey to the freerange chickens to the amazing greens and flowers. I have my favorite stalls that I have to go by and then I just roam the rest and see what I find.

I just love going there. Surrounded by all that color just makes me feel alive! All basic needs can be met - fruit, veggies, meat, eggs, cheese, mushrooms, bakegoods, condiments and soap -- it is possible to skip going to a regular grocery store when I shop the West Chester Growers Market. I also like the sense of community the market has by continually giving back.

There is nothing about the market that I DON'T like. I love the flowers, the soaps, the fresh produce, the mushrooms, the cheese, the homemade root beer, the fresh bread and the maple oat cakes, the pasture-raised meat. It's my favorite place to shop by far. Even clothes shopping is less fun than the market.

I look forward to my Saturday morning ritual of visiting the WCGM. I can always count on freshness and fine selection of just about everything grown. While I'm a lover of eating whole foods, supporting my local farmers and the W.C. community, I just ADORE Ellen April's soaps. I am addicted to them especially laverndar mint, ocean breeze and grapefruit which are some of my absolute favorites. Friends not local to W.C., ask me to "pick up another bar" since they've become addicted, too. It's a great market and too many goodies to mention.

Because it's the best place for me to "buy local," and I'm a BIG FAN of buying local! Vendors are great and dependable. I can always count on the freshest produce, and know that it has been grown and harvested locally. Thanks!

The growers market has strengthened the community in this small town, increased neighborliness and brought people together. Market vendors and market-goers have come together to help a farmer with hospital bills, to mourn the tragic loss of a young vendor, and contribute goods and funds to a gleaning program. The vendors grow or make what they sell, and we are blessed with a great variety of people and their products: all kinds of produce, humanely-raised meats, orchard fruit, hand-made soaps and cheeses, bread and baked goods, real root beer - the list goes on. Some of the vendors stay right through the cold weather until Thanksgiving time - and we faithful market-goers show up every Saturday morning. From May to November, my family buys almost all food at our market, preserving our local farmers and farmland. We LOVE our market!

Not a lot of fluff at this market: fresh produce, baked goods, cheese, meat, and one soap booth. Like so many others, though, it is located in a parking lot. So, if you want to sit down and dig in to that fresh loaf you just bought you're out of luck. Also if it is raining, not so good.
