As a grower I anchored the Paradise Farmer's market for the second year during 2010. Both years the market closed too early, just before the biggest harvests of the season. This year a staff member went to the city council and got the market extended. What great service! If you want to talk with your farmer this is not the best place since the music is often too loud to hold a conversation without shouting.

I've participated in the Paradise Farmers Market as a grower. It is a great relief to me that the market organizers accept charitable donations when the market closes. It saves me the labor of making worm food out of the leftovers.

I have heard really good things about Paradise Market. As a newly established market, they need our support.

I'm a little partial because I helped start this particular market, but it really is fantastic, even in this our first year. This is a small, somewhat rural town to boot, so the fact that the market is thriving and growing every week is a testament to all of the volunteers who brought it together. This donation would help greatly with costs for next season. We are very careful with finances and I think we could put this to good use! We support sustainability, charity, and community involvement ... so many friendships have been made through this market, and people in need are being helped ... either with donations of food or just getting a nearby place to sell produce while they are out of work. It's just all-around great!

We appreciate your participation so much more than you know. That goes for all of the other growers, crafters, vendors, volunteers, and customers that helped to anchor the market in 2010 as well. Thanks for the input about the music level. We were not aware that music was too loud at times, and knowing that, we will work to find an appropriate solution, just as we did with extending the season. We find that we have more visitors show up with music or entertainment. It's not always easy to coax people out to our fun little community market, especially if they're new to the area and have never been here before. Having music also gives local artists a place to perform and you'll find that many markets offer this. Many of our performers are local college students. They really seem to enjoy the market. This helps spread the word more in town and online, as well as in Paradise. We plan to eventually have some other family-friendly forms of entertainment as well. Please make us aware of any other suggestions you may have to help improve the market for our farmers in the future. We may not be able to grant every wish, but we will certainly do what we can to make the market more pleasant for our anchors and customers!
