To me, whether or not I can bring my dog to a market has nothing to do with a market's quality or rating or vital function in its community :-) This great market helps support a large number of local farmers, value added food producers, nurseries and crafters-who rely on this income to survive. The offerings are varied-produce in season and grown in greenhouses/hoop houses, farm fresh eggs, milk, goat cheese, home baked bread and pastries, jams and jellies, home made quiche and other frozen entrees, lacto-fermented foods, local grass fed beef and other meats, plant starts for gardeners, local wildcrafted/gathered herbs and herb preparations, hand made soaps, candles, natural beeswax, bee pollen and honey, local rock and fossil specimens, hand made jewelry, cards, sculptures, ceramics, fiber arts and household items, and more. The vendors are as varied as the offerings and they are fun to chat with. Coffee and other beverages are available, making it a pleasant way to shop on Saturday!

Have enjoyed the Columbus Tailgate Market for several years and bought so much produce and handcrafted items eery week. However, it's a shame they no longer want people who bring their dogs. I'll not be buying any more produce at this market.
