I like farmer markets and being able to have fresh healthy produce and products provided directly from local growers and vendors. having a good little farmers market close to home just makes it that much better

It is a fun place to get together with family and friends, especially during the summer when the days are longer. Eating some of the ready made food is an enjoyable way to spend a Friday afternoon. When there is entertainment, it relaxes you as you enjoy the food. The vendors are friendly.

Most of the people that come here are locals, mostly latinos, not your usual trendy Santa Monica or rich-and-famous Hollywood Farmer's Market scenesters. This market is small and quaint and serves a racially diverse and lower socio-economic area (i.e. mostly Mexicans) who, without the influx of organic produce would end up at a chain store. Also, my favorite Farmer works here and remembers each of his customers by name!

every community should have the opportunity to buy fresh produce from vendors directly at a reasonable cost.
